AntiGravity® Fitness is a comprehensive fitness technique designed to increase one’s overall health and physical agility while having FUN. The AntiGravity® techniques borrow from yoga, Pilates, aerial arts, dance and calisthenics and are performed with the Harrison Hammock. The silk fabric is suspended from two overhead points and acts as a swing and soft trapeze, changing the body’s dynamic relationship to the ground.
One cornerstone of AntiGravity® techniques is the concept of “zero- compression inversions.” During the inversions students hang upside- down, supported at the hips by the hammock. This relieves pressure from the neck and spine and increases blood flow to the brain.
