Dragonfly Pilates & Movement is an intimate studio in Mundingburra, a quiet neighbourhood of Townsville, QLD. Grounded in classical Pilates, Dragonfly offers one on one instruction as well as small group classes. Attention is paid to the individual to ensure positive results for any fitness level.
Pilates - or Contrology, as Joseph H. Pilates originally named it - is a system of exercises designed to stretch, strengthen, and lengthen the body. Working on a mat or utilising specifically designed machines equipped with spring resistance, the body is taught to move fluidly from an aligned and centred core. Pilates is also designed to achieve mind-body integration. Movements are controlled and precise and take concentration to perform.
